ST. LOUIS (February 17, 2009) – St. Louis-based LDI Integrated Pharmacy Services has named Donald R. Houchin, R.Ph., Senior VP of Sales and Marketing. The new position was created in response to the company's strong growth in 2008, during which LDI acquired pharmacy benefit manager, St. John's Mercy MedScript.

Houchin brings more than 10 years of pharmacy benefit management experience to LDI, recently serving as Vice President of Sales at pharmacy benefit manager, CatalystRx. His prior experience includes 20 years in pharmacy retail management for Eckerd Drugs, now part of CVS. Houchin earned a B.S. degree in Pharmacy from the University of Houston . He completed additional management studies at Rice University 's Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Administration. He is a member of Texas Pharmaceutical Association and is frequently invited to speak at state and national healthcare forums. He is an active deacon at Second Baptist Church , Houston .

At LDI, Houchin's responsibilities include managing the sales force and new business development throughout the United States .
