ST. LOUIS (Oct. 2, 2007) – St. Louis-based LDI Integrated Pharmacy Services has named Joseph M. McHugh chief operating officer. Founded by pharmacists in 1967, LDI manages prescription benefit programs for small- to medium- sized self-insured businesses. McHugh’s management and operations experience fulfills a strategic position in LDI as the organization evolves into fully integrated pharmacy services.

“Throughout its history, LDI has developed new ways to provide health care cost management along with compassionate member care, including being one of the first to offer mail service pharmacy and a comprehensive disease management program for its members,” said McHugh. “I am excited to be part of the team as they move toward a growth plan that will continue to positively impact specialty pharmacy and the pharmacy benefits management industry overall.”

In his new role, McHugh brings more than 20 years of management experience to running LDI’s company operations, strategic planning and acquisition review.

“I am confident that Joe will contribute sharp business insight and energetic leadership as we continue to provide forward-thinking health care solutions for our clients,” said Leonard S. Dino, Jr., Pharm. D., CEO of LDI Integrated Pharmacy Services. “His experience in sales planning, internal operations and finance will provide LDI with a strong backbone from which we will continue to grow our services.”

McHugh has held several management positions at leading St. Louis companies, including Hussman Corporation and Loose Leaf Metals Company Inc. His most recent position was with Nordyne Inc., where he served as the vice president of finance and CFO. McHugh holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Scranton and an MBA from Webster University.
